The story of my first 50 years
How it started
When I turned twenty-five, I decided to wander the world for one year, and do what we called then a sabbatical year.
I planned to start in North America and go all the way to South America. But, I ended up staying for thirty years on the shore of the most beautiful lake in the world and in the country of the eternal spring: Guatemala.
I found myself in a foreign country where I had to relearn Spanish and I had limited resources and contacts. No family, no friends. So, I took the plunge, made my mark and started to build my life.
In these twenty-five years, I started several businesses and went through two marriages and one separation. I raised two girls who were born here and are now successful young adults.
My Health
My health is fantastic, I have no pain and take no pills. I do a lot of sports and exercise a bit every day, not to mention I love my work. I sell million dollars views at the fraction of the cost to people that want a lifestyle that not many places can offer you.
Turning fifty was a big thing for me … I was coming out of a relationship. My daughters were leaving the family nest. Guatemala was no longer an attractive destination for investors. So, I had to do some personal work on different aspects of my life to update my systems.
My next 50’s
So, I sat and looked at what I wanted to live for for my next fifty years of my life.
Why fifty? Well, I’m a late baby boomer and statistics say that most humans will probably live into their hundreds with advancements in science specifically in genome and cell therapy. I want to be able to benefit from it as well.
I slowly reduced my weight, my waist circumference, as well as decided to look into new food habits and new consumption habits. Now, in my mid fifties, I feel life can continue on with these new habits for a long time.
And the best part of it all, I have not sacrificed my lifestyle, on the contrary, it has been improved.
